Zhai Mofan, Ph.D. candidate in figurative realistic painting at the Painting Art of the China Academy of Art, currently lives and works in Hangzhou. His works include easel paintings, installations, sculptures, and digital works, and are committed to researching and documenting "the history that is happening", and his works "Jack Ma‘s Academy of Athens " and "Materialistic-coco" series fully demonstrate the fetishism of contemporary society, and use a multi-dimensional perspective to explore the connection between realistic paintings, digital images, words and the audience.
Zhai Mofan's recent exhibitions include the John Moores Painting Prize (West Bund Art Museum, Qingdao, 2023); "The Shadow of Images" Ucca Lab&Sky Finale Exhibition (Xie Zilong Art Museum, Changsha, 2023); "A Gust of Spring Breeze" - Youth Strategies Project 2022 (Power Station of Art, Shanghai, 2022); "Da Mo Wang Versailles" (Xinyada Sanqingshang Art Center, Hangzhou, 2021); "Parthenon on the Road to Xiaokang" (Powerlong Art Center, Hangzhou, 2019). His work "Lakeside University" was selected for the 13th National Art Exhibition in 2019; In 2018, his book "Father" was shortlisted for the Luo Zhongli Scholarship.
